Apostle Guillermo Maldonado: The Need of the Holy Spirit – The Supernatural Now

Accepting the Holy Spirit

As we all know, Pastor Chris has declared 2018 as the year of the supernatural. This month Loveworld USA’s Apostile Guillermo Moldanado cited in his “Supernatural Now” sermon that “you have a need and a necessity for the holy spirit”. You can watch the full sermon at the bottom. He starts off his sermon by reciting from the book of Acts 1:4 “and being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem but wait for the promise of the Father, which saith he, ye have heard of me”. When God or Jesus gives a command, these actions are non negotiable, the promise of the Father is the Holy Spirit whose actions should always be carried out. The power of the Holy Spirit can guide you and rid you of sin and the devil. Our Father is in heaven, but the holy spirit is here on earth and is within you. With the Holy Spirit within you, you can change your ways and overcome the works of the demons and defeat the evil that is inflicted upon you.

The Truth of the Message

He also discussed the concept of truth, and how the truth can hurt. It is always right to speak truth of the Lord’s Word, as it is your duty not to appease people, but only the Lord. Apostle  Guillermo went on to discuss how the power of the holy spirit is what makes any church, Bible, or person is righteous. He proclaims, “Christianity without the holy spirit is just another religion, the bible without the holy spirit is just dry ink”.

The demons of Addiction

The concept of addiction was the next topic throughout the episode. We were introduced to Joshua Haber, a recovered drug and gambling addict. His addiction began at the young age of twelve, and was overcome by the power of the Holy Spirit and his willingness to open his eyes to the Lord. He successfully conquered his demons and began a new life in the path of God and His message.

In the interview Joshua stated that, “if there’s a part of your brain that’s small, that’s an addiction, then it is not from God”. Joshua then began to become apart of the religious community around him, attending church on a normal basis. He believes that it has changed his life in a tremendous manner and would ultimately like to become a Pastor himself. His story is beyond inspirational, one we can learn from. Stories such as Joshua’s are not rare, we are born as sinners but with repentance will face redemption through the power of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Additional information on how faith in God can help you can be found here. As Pastor Chris so righteously and famously says “you’re not supposed to be talking or speaking to your addictions. You’re supposed to be speaking to yourself and to the holy spirit, so, there’s where there’s wrong. You can talk to your addictions all year long and nothing will change. Through the power of god and the holy spirit will you be able to rid yourself of these demons”.
