Over the weekend, the acclaimed LoveWorld USA news anchor, Holly McClure, reported on the promising diplomatic steps with North Korea.
President Donald Trump has accepted an offer of a summit meeting from the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in a remarkable turnaround in relations between two historic adversaries. The South Korean national director announced the planned meeting after briefing Trump and other top US officials about a rare meeting with Kim in the North Korean capital. He’s saying in the praises of president Trump, for his part in making this happen.
South Korea’s national security adviser:
“I stressed President Moon Jae-in’s personal gratitude for President Trump’s leadership. I told President Trump that in our meeting, North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, said he is committed to denuclearization. Kim pledged that North Korea will refrain from any photonuclear or missile tests. He understands that the routine joint military exercises between the Republic of Korea and the United States must continue. He expressed his eagerness to meet President Trump as soon as possible. President Trump appreciated the briefing and said he would meet Kim Jong-un by May to achieve prominent denuclearization. The Republic of Korea, along with the United States, Japan and our many partners around the world remain fully and resolutely committed to the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”
The fact that Kim wants to meet with President Trump is proof that the sanctions are working and so is Trump’s tough foreign policy. Trump’s approval numbers are higher than ever as people see his diplomacy is working.
